Ed's bicycle shop in Milwaukie was where my mom bought me my used Lemon Peeler. My brother got an Orange Crate. He earned the money to buy his mowing lawns. I did not. I begged my mom incessantly until she broke down and bought me one from Ed. My brother is still mad at me about it I think. It was my first bike with gears! I crashed that bike hard flying down Oak Grove Blvd hill heading for the boat ramp. I still loved that bike, but it was never the same after that! I rode that bike all over Oak Grove delivering the Oregon Journal. Good memories! Thanks for sharing this ad (and memory!).
