Gal pal DB and I spent a lot of time at 104th Street. One winter night we went there and it was snowing. Who cares, we rarely went for the flicks.
On this particular night, DB had scored a pint of sloe gin. I thought it tasted like Pertussin, so she drank it all. Then she opened the door and stained the snow outside the car purple. Good times at the 104th Street Drive-In.
I worked there under the watchful eyes of Harry & Vera Moyer. Free soda as long as it was in your own cup - as an eight grader I thought that was an amazing employee perk, along with the $1.25 per hour they paid me. Great memories and a great a family. Thanks for the memories Mr Stump.
My favourite drive in!!!
