SAM MEYER RAN THE HIPPODROME ON BROADWAY & YAMHILL
This guy was a real operator. He booked Vaudeville acts and gave bonus cash based on the applause and attendance. The Hippodrome was built as The Empress in 1913 and renamed in 1916.
WHAT A LUCKY LITTLE .....KID
President Eisenhower’s grandson, David gets a surprise with Roy & Dale at his birthday party in The White House. Love the expression of the kid next to him. David ended up marrying a Nixon. Oh well.
