You know, I could never figure out putting corn into mashed taters. Other than smothering them with butter, maybe including some sour cream, or an appropriate gravy, mashed potatoes don't need anything added.
I remember having dinner one time at the restaurant (I can't remember the name) that replaced the Rusty Pelican, and they added corn to the mashed potatoes. It was just gross.
