Before we moved to Portland, I remember the Indian on the test pattern at end of broadcast day, and that whole thing scared the hell out of me.. I was 3 or 4..we arrived here when I was 5.

I only see one program in color, the Alcoa Hour.

It was 1956, there probably weren't more than a dozen color TVs in the whole country.

At 5:30pm you see the listing for,Sunshine For Christmas. Yesterday, the dear and amazing Bud Lewis passed away at 100 years old. He was the commander, and beloved promoter of the Sunshine Division during those times. You might have all seen him raise money for them this past summer up to his 100th birthday on August 8th walking laps at Dunaway Park. He is the dad to one of my dearest friends, and the uncle to another who has passed,away as well. I was lucky enough to call him my Uncle Bud too.
