Rose Festival used to be so beautiful, all the gorgeously decorated floats, not an overload of bands, and the fun things to do and see. Now, its more greed, nobody wants to enter a float, and the so called Fun Centre is far from fun.

The 1951 Rose Festival "Grand Floral Parade" was held on Friday June 8th, and the Grand Marshal was TV cowboy "Hopalong Cassidy" (William Boyd). The group in this photo are 22 members of the University of Washington Air Force ROTC rifle drill team.
