As shown on the marquee the 28th Academy awards were held on March 21, 1956 honoring the films and actors from 1955. Best picture was "Marty", Best actor "Ernest Borgnine", Best actress "Anna Magnani" the hosts were Jerry Lewis from LA with Claudett Colbert and Joseph Maniewicz from NYC. The theater is located at 6233 Hollywood Blvd. LA. The latest Google streetview from December 2020 shows many store fronts on this block boarded up with plywood just like PDX.
