This Mustang is part of the "Ford Magic Skyway" ride at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. Ford partnered with Disney to create a ride using 100 Ford convertibles of various models that were loaded with people attending the fair, and the taken on a mechanical ride through time, like Disney has done for years at their parks. YouTube has a few videos of the "Ford Magic Skyway" in operation. Note the Oregon License plate on the Mustang.

Thx for your great input on photos. Appreciate it

Way cool! Thank you, DG. Going to look this up!

I remember the first time I saw the Ford Mustang. I was 4 1/2 and I begged my parent to get one, not just because it was named after my favorite horse breed, but because I knew it was a cool car!

They never did get one, but my BFF's dad did (my dad preferred cars big enough to land planes on). I still haven't gotten my Mustang, but have had a Firebird and a Camaro. There's still time- that ragtop pony car is out there waiting for me!

My parents bought me a 1966 yellow mustang with black interior for my 21st birthday. I was so excited to have a stick shift, however that grew old. I sold it for more money than my parents paid for it. Now I wish I had kept it!!

My 4th grade teacher had one of the first in Portland, and I thought it was so cool. Rather have a classic T Bird, myself.
