In our first house we had an avocado kitchen with green appliances, countertops, flooring, and a green and yellow plaid desgn wallpaper. By the time we bought our second house it was harvest gold. The third house, black appliances, subdued tile countertops with walls painted to match, and hardwood floor.

So, as odd as it seems today, there was a time when avocado was pretty chic.

Mom was nuts for lemon yellow and dusty lavender, from back in the 50s, so harvest gold was a dream for her. everything was white, with the two aforementioned colours painted, curtained,.... I cant stand yellow.
