The 310-312 address for Friedlanders Jewelry was from Portland's old confusing address system which required the entire city to be renumbered in 1931-1933 time period. Friedlanders in their newspaper ads before this date showed that they were on Washington between 5th & 6th. In late December 1929 they had a short 3 line ad that said the were being forced to move by January 1, 1930, but no new location is shown, and news archives have no information on Friedlanders until 1981 when it showed the were going to be located in Clackamas Towncenter Mall.

Update--- Felix Friedlander did relocate his store to 284 Washington (Between 4th & 5th) but it looks like he went bankrupt in 1933 and all the store assets and fixtures were sold by sealed bid in August 1933. In February 1934 retired Felix Friedlander rented store space at 634 SW Washington for a new store, but once again in 1937 he indicates he was forced to close this location.
