This is the June 1894 flood. Blake McFall Company was a paper suppliers and were located on Front ave at or near Stark st. and the boat with the name Meston-Dygert Book Mfg. Co. was a neighboring business and customer of Blake McFall who made blank-books for government, companies and banks. The Oregonian printed a list of companies on June 23, 1894 impacted by the flood, and they show that Blake McFall continued in their original location. During the flood elevated plank walkways were built in the flooded area as can be seen in this photo. The Blake McFall building would have been one of the many cast iron front buildings likely torn down in the early 1940's.
