Top photo shows "Hud" & Lillies of the field" were on the marquee of the Orpheum. These 2 Academy Award winning films were shown from 4/22/64 thru 4/26/64 after the 36th Academy Awards were held on April 13, 1964. Sidney Poitier won Best Actor for "Lillie of the Field" & Melvyn Douglas won for Best Supporting Actor for "HUD" Next door to the Orpheum is a Nixon sign which must have a campaign office for Richard Nixon's who came in 4th in the 1964 Oregon republican presidential primary election.
