I never ate at Rickashaw Charlie's but people I knew who had eaten there said it was the most Americanized Chinese food they'd ever had. Very bland dishes and they didn't seem to know what a Tianjin pepper was.

I also thought the name was kind of strange since rickshaws are very Japanese, not Chinese. The closest thing to a rickshaw in China is a pedicab.

Well, the sign says "American Chinese Food". At least you knew going in what you were in for. Ate there a few times. Liked The Republic better. And Tuck Lung's Grocery for killer dim sum for lunch.
