Sure! The moon is cheese, mars is red pepper, and the rings of Saturn were Frisbee rings that missed the disc golf baskets... Welcome to the New Vatican, my children, we are in Hawaii now, and I am the Pope...

Do you know if this is the first time this has happened? If it is the first time in recorded history that this has happened, then it is noteworthy.

We have probably the best example of climate change in the country, the gorge. The ice came, the ice melted, the gorge was "born". Fifty years ago the new ice age was coming, today the earth is warming, okay.
Our time on this globe is so short that we think that every thing happening is the first to be seen. I'm pretty sure that over the millions of years that the planet has been turning, its happened before.

We were warned. We didn’t listen and act. Most likely too late now..They laughed at Carter, Gore even Perot who were all correct in their predictions.

Phillip, science believes that there was a time that the entire globe was temperate. The North Pole was so warm that you could have gone for a comfortable swim in the Arctic Ocean. This was also a period that the Earth wasn't habitable by animal life.

Now, man wasn't around then, so we probably shouldn't care, right?

But we know that we're headed in that direction again. At that time methane was spewed into the atmosphere by volcanoes. Today, we have coal-burning and gas-burning power plants spewing methane and the global temperature is rising.

If we continue to pollute and allow the global temperature to rise, then the tropics will become arid land. Man will be unable to sustain himself and will go the way of the dinosaur.

Now, none of this will happen in our lifetimes. But by the time our children are our age, life will be getting tough. Remember how miserable it was in Portland when the temperature hit 116 degrees at the end of June. That will be commonplace. Our grandchildren will be cussing us out, wondering how we could have ever allowed this to happen. Our great-grandchildren will be dying.

So, yes, we do know what has happened over the millions of years. It has happened before. The question is, are we going to let it happen again?

Whoa!
