We loved stopping there on the way home from the beach. Great pies as well. I do miss Oney's.

The best thing about Oney's was that when you saw the statue of Paul Bunyan, you knew the beach was coming in about half an hour.

My first W-2 job was washing dishes at Oney's atage 14. Oney would give you the skin off her back if you proved worthy. A woman whose spirit is truly missed and a legend. You can see a photo of her at Saylor's from the evening she ate the whole steak.

Anyway, if you stopped there in the late 60's-earlt 70's I probably washed your dishes or made your burger.

And the stories I have.
