Interesting disparity in square footage. The ad says the house is about 250 square feet bigger than Zillow.

I love this house and would have one built today! Too bad it looks run down; it's such a stylish design.

Zillow takes the square footage from what the City of Portland shows for this address. This house was advertised in the Oregonian from the spring into the fall of 1964. In the spring it was listed for $21,500 and the living room was 20'x 23' and it was 1 1/2 bath. This ad pictured here shows a 24' x 21' living room and 1 2/3 bath who knows the reason for the discrepancies.

I was being hyperbolic. My guess is that the square footage was calculated by an overzealous real estate salesperson. It probably included the square footage of the deck on the end of the house. Whoever calculated things was also a bit generous adding a foot to the width and a foot to the length of the living room.

The 1 2/3 bath is the way things were calculated at the time that this house was new. 2/3 is what is called a powder room or a half bath today. A sink and a toilet were considered 2/3 of a full bath, which was a tub/shower, sink, and toilet.
