The ship moored at the seawall is the USNS Marine Lynx which was at the seawall from July 16, 1954 until August 19, 1954. The Marine Lynx was in Portland for repairs at Willamette Iron & Steel Co. and was moved to the seawall after repairs were completed, and returned to service when it left.

I recall this "street" was better known as Harbor Drive.

Newest cars in this photo....several 51/52/53's....Olds, Merc, Chevy.

Back when a car was a CAR, not a glorified beer can. The kind I want.
