The Zooliner started operation at the Zoo in 1958 and was a popular attraction, but for the summer of 1959 it was moved to the 1959 Oregon Centennial at the Expo center in North Portland, and during it's absence at the Zoo 1 1/4 miles of additional track was added for it's return in September 1959.
