Maybe thats part of what was wrong with my mother, she loved pork and beans with toast, or bread, and margarine!

Not that it matters, but pork and beans are steamed; Boston beans are baked. Just sayin'.

Steamed or baked, what difference does it make? They're beans. They have no flavor. All the flavor is in the sauce. Just eat the sauce.
