Oregon's fist TV Station KPTV was owned by Empire Coil Co. of New Rochelle NY. Empire Coil Co. in October 1952 signed a 10 year lease on 3 adjoining buildings and a parking lot at 735 SW 20th place, which is just West of Providence Park (Multnomah Stadium) The 3 buildings were owned by Sawyer's Viewmaster who move to a new plant they built in Progress area.
