The Laker - Blazer game was over, Chuck was beat from his high energy radio play by play broadcast. I was in the well of the Coliseum exiting the Laker dressing room & making his way to a waiting car. Chick was one of the greatest NBA broadcasters. He was first to use the phrase “Slammmm Dunk!!!!! This man voiced the team for 41 years & 3,338 consecutive broadcasts. In 2002 he suffered a horrible fall in his home & later died due to the injury. My moment with Chick Hearn.
