I remember in the sixties that KGO was listened to in Portland in the evenings. A Portland firm bought an ad.

Late at night, in the summer, I was able to listen to Ira Blue at my parent's cabin at 10 Mile Lakes. Amazing. First time I heard Rhapsody in Blue I thought somebody had turned his theme song into a symphony.
