It looks like the Mr Peanut was scrapped in 1976. This photo is from 1952.

I attended college in the SF area in the early 60's. This Planter's Peanuts sign seems familiar, but I can't place it or recall just where it was.
Can anybody remind me of the location???

The sign was located at Paul Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard and was clearly visible from the Highway 101 freeway.
