I was sixteen when Tiger first said “ Nice meeting you Kid…. Here’s and idea …” Tiger was adored even by his competitors in the ad biz. A true Mad Men he was!

Wasn't Tiger Branch also an early days KISN DJ. I have a slight recollection of him, but it could be during the waning days of KVAN before the FCC approved the call-letter change
My friend Bill told me about this "new" radio station, KVAN, that was playing all the good music. In retrospect, I'm thinking it was in the days after Burden bought KVAN, but before the commission approved the change of call. Back in the day, such things could take months.
Tiger Branch was never at KISN. He was very good friends with Don W and placed a ton of ads on the station. Branch & Bauer was a powerhouse agency in its day.
You couldn't be in the business and have never heard of Branch & Bauer, Gerber, or Coit/Petzold. Until Weiden+Kennedy came along, they were the biggest ever Portland agencies.
