Route 66 photo from when they filmed at Marineland of the Pacific, with the episode airing on 11/23/62.
A few other shows that filmed there were "The Munsters, "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Lucy" and Elvis.

Route 66 rarely filmed anywhere near Route 66. They even filmed a couple of shows where Route 66 traverses Oregon.

WOW! A gorgeous '62 Corvette in Fawn Beige (likely same color interior).
Original cost at Chev Dealer in 1962 was less than $5000. Today at auction, classic car dealer or private party seller now well over 10 - 12 times that.....easily $50K - $60K.
I had a red/red 340 horse two top one years ago when $15K was a typical sales price.
