Comments that I saw about the Round Up Theater in it's later years was that it was "Nasty" with people mainly sleeping. At the the Blue Mouse theater nearby at least the people were watching the movie. The buildings were torn down in 1978.
I saw a "late show" at the Blue Mouse back in the mid-seventies. I couldn't hear the movie for all the bums snoring. At the end of the movie, the lights came up and all the bums slowly hit the exits. It was about 4 in the morning and the theatre would close for a few hours to clean (?) the place. I was told that this process would repeat every evening. I think the admission was 69 cents.
