Is the "blondie." (2nd from left) Lynn Easton??

Or am I possibly again confusing Paul Revere and the Raiders with The Kingsman??

Regardless, it seems I met Easton at McCann-Erickson (in the Georgia Pacific Bldg.) in 1968 when I was a fledgling media sales guy in 1968.

I'm still around but seem to recall hearing Lynn Easton passed a couple of years ago.

Interesting how things turn out. Like who's gone and who's still around. (Right Dave ???)

Yes, Bill. You're very definitely confusing Paul Revere and the Raiders, with the Kingsmen. The Raiders were a legendary band while the Kingsmen were barely a bar band that got very lucky when its version of "Louie, Louie" was thought to have salacious lyrics.

Compare the Raiders' version of "Louie, Louie" to the "hit" version recorded by the Kingsmen. Actually, you can't because there's no comparison between the two. The Raiders recorded a gutsy rock song. The Kingsmen recorded what you'd expect from less than a bar band.

The Kingsmen didn't make rock 'n' roll, let alone make it fun.
