I first saw her in Columbia, So. Carolina in 1971. One of the few white guys there. She exuded nothing but sexual bravado. I felt like she was singing to me.
Saw her again on the Private Dancer tour in the mid 80's at the Memorial Coliseum. She hadn't lost a step and was at the top of her game. She was special.

I didn't realize that she was in such bad shape, but she had cancer, kidney failure, and hypertension. RIP.
