Yikes, Joel I disagree. I worked (and ate) there for several summers in the 60's. Their true prime rib cooked slow and low overnight crusted with rock salt was unbeatable. And, for Eddie Mays "sell the sizzle" was more than a platitude; they put on a show with their trolly service that was treated seriously by the carver (who were treated like professionals). It all added up to a great experience that only a curmugeon would consider disappointing. But, as Doug Baker might say today if he were still typing: "We are all entitled to our own opinion, and everyone has one just like everyone has an ...."
I remember when Prime Rib West opened in Beaverton. We couldn't wait to try it. It was a great disappointment.
