Stump your memory is correct. Newspaper ads in April 1973 for Mel Renfro bicycle grand opening @ 1440 SE Powell and in July 1973 another store opened @ 4009 NE Cully Blvd. They must not have lasted long. A story in 1975 mentioned a divorce and closed bike business.
