The 1968 Ford Mustang GT hero car from the movie reappeared in 2018 and Car & Driver did a story on it in 2018. The car sold at a Mecum auction in Florida in January 2020 for $3.74 million dollars.

Wikipedia shows that the entire movie only had a 4 million dollar budget in 1968 dollars.
