Way back in the 70's I had job at the old Jones Photo Service (the lab that processed film from almost all the local film shops including Sandy's and Fred Meyer). One of my tasks was to shred the photos that were determined to be "unacceptable" and those included any with nudity.
Around Christmas time the number photos of naked families gathered around the tree or fireplace became epidemic! All ages, all sizes, all smiling!
Kitsch!
