Quad headlights detracted significantly from the first generation's design.
The ne plus ultra year was 1957, with the fuel-injected 283 four speed. And the final year with twin headlamps.

The 1960 315 Horse FI Corvette pictured is as headlined - "Magnificent." I certainly wouldn't turn down a 57 to get the 60. Although the 60 has more room and a bit more comfort and speed. Either would be fun to drive with the wind blowing thru what hair is still there!
