Last year when Giant closed the Oregonian reported that the building started as a location of the short lived chain "Mr Swiss"
Mr. Swiss began in Oklahoma City in 1964 serving soft serve ice cream & burgers, and expanded to 200 locations in 38 states, but failed circa 1970, which is the year reported for the opening of Giant in Lake Groce. The are photos on the internet of other former Mr Swiss locations.
It will be developed into something. I’m going to miss the place - one of the few remaining businesses from the 60s/70s in the Lake Grove area.
