Above this corner is The Loyalty Building which features over 50,000 feet of office space. The building is being sold by lenders for under five million dollars. Like most downtown office buildings it has major vacancy issues. Years ago it was The Guardian Building.

How's this for an idea? I camee up with this just now looking at the third picture.
Tell sidewalk campers that they are welcome to camp on the sidewalk, but if they don't keep their "residences" neat and tidy, the city will be by with a front-end loader and will scrape their tents and all their junk up and truck it to the dump. Everything will be gone in half a minute.
My guess is that will be too much to ask, and they'll move on after the city scoops them up once, maybe twice. At least those who decide to stay won't be living in a pile of garbage.

Does the City just permit this? Certainly the retail community doesn't approve setting up on the sidewalk in front of a store.

Portrait of our wonderful city dying. And it seemed to have happened so fast.
