Even as a kid, I could never figure out what the thing was about this waste of flesh. He wasn't entertaining in any respect. The guy wandered around the "Treasure House" for an hour each morning doing nothing, and I was supposed to be mesmerized?
My mother or my grandmother would sit us down and turn on the show. I knew I was going to be bored silly. I especially hated it when Mr. Green Jeans came on.
I'd be interested in knowing if other kids felt this way or if it was just me and my brother who thought the show was garbage.

Joel : we are 110% on same page here. I didn’t know about being creeped out as little kid but HE DID! I never found him fun or entertaining. Mr Green Jeans was a bore. I never ever watched a full episode.
