Stratolounger sounds so space age. I once had a Barcalounger. I currently have three "loungers". The first "lounger" I had, I bought from a Montgomery Ward catalog in 1961 - back when they were just called recliner chairs. I still call them recliner chairs - or just "recliners".

My mother went out a few years ago in one just like this, but in a kind of orange-brown color. She had it for a good forty years, plus. Ugly then, ugly now.
