I guess downtown is just trying to adopt the Northwest theme that the airport has - lots of wood everywhere. Instead of ordinary glass storefronts, they have added wood accents to their exteriors to enhance the Northwest theme. This should inspire the downtown holiday shopper - if there still is such a thing.

There's still plenty of shoppers, but they are over yonder at the drug bazaar.
