In 1861 the Union Hotel was located at the corner of First & Yamhill advertised as the "Cheapest in City"** $4.26 weekly ** $1.00 daily* ** single meal .25¢

The foundry on First must be Portland Foundry on First St. Between Yamhill & Morrison which was operated by David Monnastes
