It's incredible to see how much of an impact this had back in the day. Revisiting these moments really highlights how culture and trends evolve over time. Thanks for sharing this piece of history!

The 1957 Portland Soap Box Derby was sponsored by local Chevy dealers and KPTV, and was open to boys 11-15 years old. The finals were held on Sunday July 21st with 120 finalist competing for a gold trophy, 14 foot boat, motor,and trailer. The winner Bruce Adams received a kiss from the Queen of the Portland derby, and a trip to compete in the national finals in Akron OH.
